NOC Engineer

Quivadore is actively a Senior Server Engineer in the Harrisburg area interested in working a weekend, night shift. Note that this position is primarily on-site in Harrisburg but we are advertising statewide for individuals within a 100 mile radius of Harrisburg.

We are Pennsylvania small business singularly focused on long-term consulting services to numerous state agencies in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania including PennDOT, Treasury, Labor & Industry, Department of State, Corrections, Turnpike, and Health and Human Services. PA Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is seeking an individual with 5 years Windows Servers in a large organization setting. This position will be primarily focused on Application Support, Windows Server Administration, along with supporting various other techologies. The work will be performed on-site at the PennDOT Server Farm on Cameron Street near the Farm Show Arena.

Here is the anticipated schedule
Thurs. 11 PM – 12 PM Fri.
Fri. 11 PM – 12 PM Sat.
Sat. 11 PM – 12 PM Sun.

If hired, we would pay $40.12 /hr.

Long-term there would be the potential to become a Commonwealth employee OR switch to a Mon-Fri, day shift position with extensive work-from-home. Please note that promotions generally come within 1-2 years of employment. As stated in the ad, this is considered a 100% onsite position, however PennDOT has a generous work-from-home schedule and depending on coverage could be allowed on occassion once onboarding is completed in a few months.

As a private company, we do have a contractual relationship with PennDOT. However we are on a small-business friendly contract that allows PennDOT to renew our contract annually without us having to rebid on the work. PennDOT has supported small IT companies this way for nearly 20 years and is their preferred approach to long-term IT staffing.

This is an essential, daily IT operations job at PennDOT, not a one off project.
