Role Overview

As the Operational Technology Project Manager, you support the Cortland Building Technology team in planning, leading, organizing, and motivating teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality by delivering business value with an agile mindset. Here are the roles you’ll play:

The Tech Guru

· Ability to manage technology vendors and installers, identify existing issues, and coordinate the update and install of new technology

· Support Cortland’s subject matter experts with developing solutions to deploy new technology at our communities

· Ensure change management, integration, and testing (QA,UAT) across team(s) for stable deployments

· Support the coordination of training and adoption of new functionality with associates and residents

· Drive plans to ensure stable steady state production operations

The Strategist

· Ability to plan large projects with project management best practices and methodologies to develop project plans, measure progress against agreed deliverables, and mitigate risks and issues

· Comfortable driving agile delivery processes including work entry, program incremental planning, feature/story level mapping, grooming, demos, and deployment plans

· Communications across stakeholder channels to for clear understanding of priorities, status, risks, blockers, and decisions

· Ensure planning, installation, and feedback loops run smoothly and consistently

· Conduct capacity management and capture performance measurements of team such as velocity, quality, lead time, and value

The Leader

· Improve the executive experience around technology through professionalism and attention to detail for their personal support and satisfaction

· Become the trusted advisor to the entire technology team with regards to infrastructure expertise and foresight

· Develop strong partnerships with all services providers; optimize relationships to support the overall technology strategy

· Establish yourself as the trusted advisor and technology expert to company management for all things related to technology operations

· Coach and develop your team with a culture of accountability and delivering results

· Build collaborative relationships with business partners in support of revenue creation opportunities and stable business operations

· Support negotiation of managed services contracts, including identifying key operational priorities and providing recommendations for SLAs, KPIs, and operational terms

Your Building Blocks of Success

· Strong 8+ years of Technical Project Management experience

· Stellar 3+ years of Agile Leadership experience as a Scrum Master or similar (preferred Scaled Agile Framework SAFe) preferred but not required

· Minimum 3+ years’ experience working in telecom, IoT, networking, or IT infrastructure technology

· Ability to quickly learn new technology and ask investigative questions

· Experience driving and maturing continuous integration and quality automations

· Workflow definition and management with Agile Project management tools such as JIRA, Rally, or Version One

· Proven team player with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic agile work environment

· Supported a metrics-driven data culture to drive accountability and transparency

· Passionate problem solver and motivated self-starter including ability to analyze situation and recommend sound solutions and implementation strategies

· Experience working as hands on technical resource preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $124,900.00 per year
