This role is instrumental in transforming Marketing Operations to an innovative, strategic, in-house solution that delivers processes at Scale to our customers/partners by translating business value, relevance, and benefit of documentation of solutions to marketing stakeholders. The candidate will be the primary interface across many multi-functional groups responsible for building the solution internally and externally, beyond the current scope of our team. As the marketing platforms stabilize and evolve, we will need to reach further outward in the enterprise to ensure full 360 customer connectivity for a more personalized experience. Instrumental in this transformation is switching from a product centric to a customer centric marketing model. Extensive database marketing knowledge, business marketing experience, and proven relationship-building skills are essential.

Primary Responsibilities:
Understanding the priorities and challenges of our business and goals as it relates to all Marketing Operation programs and touch points with customers/marketing partners. A key component is the ability to assess the big and holistic marketing process and prioritize and provide business justifications that impact and transform how Marketing Operations executes and interacts with stakeholders. Identifying the “big bets” for success in the marketplace will be accomplished through leveraging existing knowledge of marketing programs, marketing tools, data, processes and industry best practices.
- Leverage contact management strategies and further develop journeys and contact governance to maximize customer movement through the funnel faster resulting in higher ROI
- Create business cases that have a broader, enterprise impact to improve processes and get us closer to realization goals
- Documentation and training not limited to:
- Process flow
- Templates
- Job aids
- Policy and procedure manuals
- Data and source documentation
- Role definitions
- Operational coordination of existing processes to more firmly standardize them in order to scale and automate incrementally from an operational perspective
- Assemble and manage cross functional teams that include Technology, EMC, business stakeholders, external vendors where requirements are gathered, assimilated into broad, solution-based requirements to solve big business problems with high pay off
- Ensure business continuity to incorporate new technology builds that are sourced and adapted in the business to support corporate marketing goals
- Analyze existing documents and make necessary improvements to ensure materials accurately align with present process
Competencies:
- Ability to operate in a dynamic, high-stakes environment with minimal guidance
- Relationship building skills
- Solid change agent skill set (adaptability, change management, inclusivity, and team-oriented)
- Business analysis experience: Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
- Experience writing and understanding technical information and transforming it into something palatable for all audiences
- Ability to include process flow, screenshots, and illustrations in documents to visually explain how things work
- Ability to create a holistic strategic shared vision

Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in Document/Content/Technical Writing
- Experience in working with the healthcare business and data
- Campaign or journey experience (such as Unica, Adobe, etc..)
- Database / Marketing Operations experience
- SQL knowledge
- Ability to travel up to 15%

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
