SUMMARY
The Telecommunications Engineer works with a collaborative team, implementing and supporting the design, staging, configuration, implementation and support for VoIP installations. Specifically, this position supports existing infrastructure of Cisco Voice Adds, Moves, and Changes to Voice Gateways, CTI Agent, T1s and Call Routing. The Telecommunications Engineer supports day-to-day VoIP related service request, escalations and troubleshooting. Furthermore, this position designs and configures dial plans with calling restrictions by using a combination of calling search spaces, partitions, translation patterns, dial-peers, translation rules and translation profiles. This position will also be required to configure and implement voice gateways (H323/MGCP/SIP), SRST for remote sites and CUCME and CUE distributed design. Lastly, the Telecommunications Engineer will be required to maintain VoIP system configuration backup and restore, as well as work with the security team for vulnerability and security compliance. Work is done remotely and on site in Washington, DC.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Creates expert level solution documentation, user guides and standard operating procedures.
Troubleshoots and tune-ups of network environments including voice and data cabling.
Serves as primary POC for all troubleshooting and escalations.
Works with SIP trunks, PRI’s and analog lines for PBX and VOIP phone systems both hosted and on-premise based.
Develops network proposals and implements proposal solutions.
Responsible for understanding and complying with all policies, procedures and regulations relating to job duties.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.
Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance with all applicable rules (federal, state, local, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Code of Federal Regulations, Prime Contract requirements, etc.) for themselves and the company as a whole. Fosters an environment in which they will report any violations or reasonably suspected violation of CNI policy, FAR, and/or CFR and are comfortable discussing the myriad compliance, conflict, FAR, CFR, etc. issues that arise during the performance of a government contract.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree or Expert Level Certifications: Minimum ten (10) years’ experience Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) – Written/Labs.

CCVP certified
Must be a US Citizen
Must obtain a Public Trust Clearance
