OSP Inspector (Outside Plant)

Locus Recruiting (Recruitment Firm) is searching for an OSP Inspector (outside Plant).

Location: Phoenix and Las Vegas (Most of the work is between Phoenix, AZ and Las Vegas, NV)

Duration: 1 year contract (40 hours a week)

Target Pay Rate up to $35/hr. (May have a little flex for the right candidate)

Expenses (Mileage, Lodging and Meals reimbursed)

****Willingness and ability to travel up to 15 days/month***

***Must have reliable transportation***

***Up to $100/day for meals, up to $225/day for lodging, mileage is the Federal rate-$.62/mile.

Technical Skills/Experience

· High School Degree or equivalent required, associates or bachelor’s degree a plus.

· Minimum of 1-2 years direct experience with utility or roadway construction.

· Familiar with Email, MS Excel, Word, and Google Earth.

· Knowledge of Telecom/OSP construction

· Must be able to manage multiple construction crews

· Must be able to read and understand construction documents

· Previous knowledge of safety, traffic control, erosion control and fire mitigation protocol a plus

· Experience working on DOT right of way a plus

· The employee must possess a valid driver’s license, their own transportation, and is expected to drive as required to his/her assigned projects in order to ensure on time and on budget delivery

· The employee must perform on-site surveys and attend field meetings required to ensure projects meet the delivery/ commitment dates identified

· The employee will be required occasionally to meet with various municipalities and vendors to review project scope and to ensure positive communication is maintained

· The employee must be willing to work nights/weekends

· The employee must have a team first attitude and be willing to perform any duties as assigned

· The employee must have strong communication skills and be able to effectively communicate situations and challenges to management

· Strong attention to detail and ability to learn and adapt quickly
