Role Summary
As the People Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the People & Culture Team in the administration of the HRIS, employee onboarding and offboarding, Team-member programs including benefits administration, employee recognition programs, length of service awards, and employee engagement activities. You will report directly to the People & Culture Manager.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and coordinate benefits administration & RRSP for all new and existing employees, and conduct all Benefits Orientations for new hires
- Maintain employee and contractor files in Bamboo HR and prepare salary increase and bonus letters, contractor agreements and renewals
- Provide admin support for Company travel arrangements and bookings
- Responsible for all employee onboarding and offboarding
- Assisting with Immigration documentation including E-Verify, Fieldglass and Government software
- Field questions on Employee Programs (e.g., PTO, benefits, Holiday schedules and reimbursement programs)
- Admin support for Company cell phone plan management (US & Canada) and Company registrations
- Responsible for managing Whitecaps tickets and arranging catering for games
- Champion company events such as recognition, special celebrations, seasonal events, charitable activities, and events while engaging internal and external Teams through multiple channels (in person, virtually and remotely)
- Responsible for the content, completion, and delivery of the monthly company newsletter
- Collaborate with the hiring manager on creating and updating job descriptions, conducting reference checks and background checks as appropriate
- Support Management team in researching tools and solutions, policies, and procedures, etc and assist with the communication of companywide policy rollouts
- Coordinate the process and generation of documents related to Employee Performance Reviews in PerformYard
- Assist with ad hoc business operations for all departments (Delivery, finance, IT, and recruitment)
- Assisting with Immigration related documentation including E-Verify,
- Facilities and office management support, including managing inventory levels for office equipment
- Procurement of supplies and vendor management (swag, furniture, office supplies, etc.)
- Pull quarterly people analytics results from BambooHR
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months experience in an HR role, ideally in a start-up/scale up environment
- Familiarity with provincial Employment standards and regulations preferred
- Experience in event planning an asset
- Proactive, highly organized, and extremely detail-oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to exercise diplomacy and discretion and to handle highly confidential information appropriately
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration or Human Resources is a plus
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office including Excel
