Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Transport Program Management, the Transport Program Manager within the Access Networks PMO is accountable for ensuring that all delivery activities for in-year Transport programs are executed in time for successful delivery. Such activities include scope prioritization, progress monitoring, and reporting, risk identification, and mitigation planning.

This role requires collaboration across a matrixed organization, including national transport planning and engineering teams, procurement, and regional implementation teams. As a result, the Program Manager must be able to monitor and drive activities that will result in the successful delivery of the assigned program. The objective of the program manager role is to ensure that Transport programs are managed and delivered efficiently and on time to achieve the established annual targets of the organization’s ambitious transport network build objectives.

What you’ll be doing
:

  • Support the regional delivery teams to achieve the transport programs annual delivery targets and support the team to meet the successful project conclusion (on time and on budget)
  • Work closely with cross-functional and regional teams to monitor ongoing projects and provide clear and real-time status of the various milestone of all Transport Networks programs
  • Monitor program execution, and track all program milestones and deliverables required by the business including the closure of all individual projects in Oracle
  • Evaluate opportunities for synergies using thorough data analysis and understanding of key cost/resources drivers, technology, assumptions, and scenarios.
  • Actively assess and manage overall program risks, and issues and clearly communicate escalations as and when required. Ensure all risks, issues, and escalations are brought to resolution in a timely and mutually agreeable manner.
  • Prepare program status reports for transport network deployment programs and identify program progress, risks, cost, and any challenges to the project’s success.
  • Adherence to the change management process in terms of scope, budget, and time plan
  • Ensure the quality of all deliverables with regards to all KPIs relevant to internal and external teams/organizations
  • Manage inter-regional and inter-project priorities
  • Drive alignment and collaboration with key regional and PMO teams, including within the Access Network organization and with other business units


What you have
:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Engineering/Science or Business Administration.
  • PMP certification;
  • Five or more years of relevant work experience in the Telecom network implementation and deployment (Wireline, Wireless, Transport Network (MW, IP Routing, Optical/Fibre), RAN, Optical Network);
  • Strong leadership skills with a team-oriented and collaborative approach to work;
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Project Communications Management skills: capability to ensure timely and appropriate collection, storage, distribution, and generation of program information;
  • Knowledge of Project Quality/Cost/Time/Risk Management techniques Ability to communicate in a diverse and global organizational environment;
  • Analytical and project management skills with attention to detail; a problem-solving and driving-for-completion personality; multi-tasking on a daily basis, managing priorities.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally across various organizations and the ability to influence/manage to drive results;
  • Experience with development and delivery of executive communication including advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, MS Project, Visio, and PowerPoint;
  • Knowledge and understanding of key business drivers, processes, and financial systems and reporting;
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and effectively under extreme time constraints and deliver results by business-critical deadlines;
  • Strong leadership abilities and documented management success record;
