CTG assisting a client in Buffalo, NY for a Telecommunications Analyst!
Pay Rate: up to $57.00/hour (based on experience)
OVERVIEW:
Translate business requirements into Telecom technical network requirements defined in the Provisioning guide, coordinate installations and provide ongoing network operational support.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Translate business requirements into technical network requirements as defined in the departments Provisioning guide.
Review and assess network design and recommend changes to bring current.
Document changes in STN format and present to the STN committee for approval. Order and provision approved solution.
Process Telecom workorders; client requests for specific predefined network services.
Order, receive, configure and install Cisco network routers, switches, VoIP and network devices supporting remote offices.
Request quotes for Telecom carrier circuits; select Telecom carrier; order and provision carrier circuits required in design.
Installation of Carrier circuits; MBs, PRIs, MPLS, Ethernet, Broadband & LTE.
Configure Cisco Call Manager with new telephones and configure Voice network services (Voicemail, Extension mobility, Jabber, Call Recording & Mobile connect) for Bank clients.
Direct suppliers to install network wiring to Bank standards.
Provide network inventory documentation for all work completed.
Assess corporate space for design of wireless access, develop heat maps and design.
Order, receive, configure and prepare wireless access points for installation. Coordinate installation, testing and validation with installation provider.
Participate in the installation of accepted proposals and integrate the new services into existing systems.
Manage efforts across business units, Telecom functional areas, carriers, and vendors to meet business/technical requirements.
Keep informed of the latest telecommunications software, hardware and systems.
Analyze network performance issues using networking tools.
Provide Client training as required to orient clients on network services.
Insure all activities are in compliance with internal policies, procedures, and standards.
Provide after hours support as scheduled and on a rotational on call basis.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the Bank brand.
Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
6 years of experience, with up to 4 from college education.
5 years experience with Telecom Carrier networks and operational processes.
Proficient in LAN, WAN, MAN and/or VoIP architecture.
Proficient in the use of MS Office products; (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio).
Proficient in IEEE wiring standards.
Be able to successfully complete provisioning projects that are on schedule, within budget and receive high customer satisfaction results.
Good documentation and training skills.
Excellent troubleshooting ability.
Excellent verbal and written communications.
Independent.
Experience with Telecom Carrier networks and operation.
Experience with Vendor Management.
Independent self-starter.
Understanding that travel is required; 2-3 days per month.
Drivers License.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Technical certifications – CCNA, CCNP.
Project management qualifications.
Operating Specialize Machinery.
