Hiring: Project Manager
Location: Austin, TX

Job Description
Project Manager Professional responsible for industrial construction, repair, and renovation projects in the semiconductor industry with a strong emphasis on HVAC, Electrical, Process and FFE related projects. Manage and coordinate all aspects of the project from award to completion, including solicitation of proposals from subcontractors/vendors, through final walk-through and close-out. Responsible for coordinating and planning Corporate Relocations, Space Design, Event Planning and Procurement of all FFE
Education and Experience:
- Minimum (5) years in a mechanical contracting business, working as a project manager
- Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline preferred
- A strong understanding of commercial mechanical, plumbing and process systems is required, specifically within Semiconductor industries.
- Experience with standard operations and maintenance of HVAC system
- Knowledge of Modular Furniture Systems required
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, AutoCAD as well as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, or other project management software
- Able to interpret contracts, plans, specifications, schematic diagrams, and isometric drawings.
- Negotiating experience in construction change orders and project presentations
- Understands financial models used in fixed price, cost plus and unit rate/price contracting.
- Certification(s) in Project Management, such as PMP, desired
- Proven understanding of common project planning techniques and tools including traditional waterfall and agile methods
- Familiarity with semiconductor planning and scheduling
- 5 years’ experience working in a semiconductor consumer electronics environment
- Must be able to pass a drug test and comprehensive background check.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manages projects from initiation through delivery to include generating schedules and resource plans, monitoring progress, managing change control, managing risks and issues
- Manage building and office relocations, restorations, space design, cubicle reconfigurations and major events.
- Conduct weekly meetings with Clients and Subcontractors to review updates to schedules and plans
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with the project team of Architects, Engineers, Subcontractors, Vendors and Field Personnel through every phase of the project
- Processes project documents and provides oversight on the day-to-day activities of assigned projects. Works independently following general functional guidelines and performs ancillary duties as required.
- Manage procurement of FFE items including furniture (FS and Modular), signage, ergonomic, AV and Telecom items.
- Records detailed requirements, constraints, and assumptions with team members in order to establish the project deliverables and schedule
- Ensure contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications conform to project requirements
- Direct subcontractors and vendors in the development of shop drawings and coordinate the planning efforts with other trades
- Organize and manage the construction submittals process, coordinating between general contractors, engineers, and subcontractors
- Formalizes final acceptance for the project by ensuring that the delivered products and services comply with the agreed deliverables list, agreed scope, and organizational procedure
- Demonstrate the ability to accurately read, analyze, and interpret building plans, specifications, and technical procedures
- Procure and manage project subcontractors and equipment vendors
- Plan, organize, and direct activities on the jobsite in conjunction with Site Superintendents
- Maintain control and responsibility for the operation of equipment on the job site in conjunction with site staff.
- Maintain and enforce superior construction standards and quality control.
- Inspect the jobsite on a regular basis for contract compliance, workmanship, and safety
- Ensure everyone adheres to all safety requirements on the jobsite
- Able to troubleshoot and problem solve in a manner that keeps the project moving forward with little impact on budget or time
- Issue purchase orders and contracts for multiple vendors and subcontractors per project. Effectively purchase materials, equipment and subcontracts and maintain on-going controls and records
- Follow-up on any required warranty work and maintain contact with owner to insure customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Must know autocad
- Must have at least 2 years of Project Management Experience
