Project Manager Job Description

The PM is a supervisory position that is responsible for both supervisory tasks in the office as well as in-field leadership for projects and crews. The PM must possess considerable knowledge of methods, materials, and techniques used in telecommunications construction, along with an ability to communicate effectively, maintain working relations with supervisors and subordinates, and resolve problems with appropriate and timely decisions. PMs train employees under their supervision, ensure the appropriate use of equipment by employees, communicate progress on the projects and maintain project schedules.

Key Responsibilities
– Manage the full life cycle of wireless telecommunication projects, including documentation, schedules, material, subcontractors, closeout, client communication, and QC.
– Oversee Cell Site builds/upgrades on monopole towers, lattice towers, self-support, rooftop, in building.
– Ensure maximizing crew efficiency with a focus on safety and success of all projects.
– Communicate effectively between various stakeholders like management, customers, and warehousing, subcontractors, and the field team.
– Provide Management with data and project analysis.
– Prepare accurate documentation of time and expenses for self and crew.
– Maintains and fosters the culture, values, and vision of the company.
– Ensure crew recognizes and performs duties within safety guidelines as well as all applicable safety laws and policies.
– Participate in the development of requirements for project management tools and processes

Skills & Experience
-Five years experience in project management
-Working experience with major telecommunication companies conducting wireless installations.
-Advanced computer skills
-Excellent communication and team management skills; good at listening, motivating and giving feedback with the ability to create positive group dynamics.
-Excellent organizational and time management skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

  • Victoria, BC V8M 2A7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • project management: 5 years (preferred)
  • Wireless Telecommunication: 2 years (preferred)

Language:

  • English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • PMP (preferred)
  • driver’s license (preferred)
