The Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of projects or key deliverables. Core activities include hands-on management of the following:

• Delivery Lifecycle – managing the delivery lifecycle of projects that generate the integration of new capabilities and functionality into the business.
• Stakeholder Management – communicating effectively with stakeholders and building a partnership relationship at all levels of the business, both business and IT functions.
• Financial Management – forecasting, budget tracking, analysis and communications.
• Schedule management – forecasting, tracking, adjusting and communicating.
• Risk management – identification, mitigation and communication of all project risks.
• Status Management and Communications – develop and present project status to the work team, stakeholders and management.
• Change Management – ensure timely and effective management of all necessary changes.
• Process Management – ensuring the use of best practices for delivery and overall project flow.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

• At least five years of IT project management experience.
• Proven ability to successfully manage end-to-end human capital management IT projects and key deliverables of 3-12 months.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodology and best practices.
• Pragmatic leader who supports the team in project delivery and has the ability to overcome obstacles and drive overall success.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including preparation and presentation of project reports to management.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and rapid change.
• Experience in information technology and the telecommunications industry.

Desired Education and Skills:

• Recognized project management training and PMI/PMP certification desirable, but not required.
• University degree or equivalent post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field.
• Proficiency in project management tools, including MS Office applications.
