Reporting to the General Manager, the Quality Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of quality management systems and procedures as it pertains to design and build standards and procedures for all aspects of outside plant construction and drop placement activities.
What You’ll Do Here:
Reports QMS performance to top management and awareness of the QMS throughout the organization.
Ensures QMS processes are established and maintained to comply with applicable standards, codes and regulations.
Ensures satisfaction of the terms and conditions of the Contract between TELUS and Aecon, and for the requirements of Aecon’s Company Policy on Quality Control and the QC Plan.
Ensures that all Program Management and Supervisory personnel, including those of subcontractors and suppliers, understand the requirements of the QC Plan, are fully aware of the acceptance level of quality that is expected and have the training, trained personnel and proper tools and equipment to deliver at least this expected level of quality.
Sets QA compliance objectives and ensures that targets are achieved.
Identifies relevant quality-related training needs and delivers training.
Brings together staff of different disciplines and drives the group to plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures.
Liaises with customers’ auditors and ensures the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers’ specifications.
Establishes standards of service for customers or clients.
Promotes quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
What You Bring to the Team:
Extensive experience in telecommunications (or relevant technical background)
PMP or Project Management degree/certificate
Quality certification – CQA or CQIA, American Society of Quality designation
Strong organizational, negotiation and time management skills
Proven people and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals
Proven ability to take initiative and leadership
Strong problem-solving skills
Valid Drivers License
