RF Device Test Engineer

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Exposure to commercial field/lab test and data analysis tools for wireless telephony product verification
  • Handset test experience with 5G/4G/3G operators or with commercial handset OEM’s
  • Understanding of call flows for 5G/4G/3G operators
  • Exposure to programming in C/Perl/Shell Scripting is a plus
  • Experience with test planning
  • Experience with post processing logs

Exposure in one or more of the following areas:

  • Understanding of digital communications systems/Telecommunication concepts
  • RF propagation/OFDM/CDMA
  • Understanding of Physical/MAC layers and Call Processing concepts
  • Understanding of wire line and wireless data protocol stacks, to include RLP, PPP, IP, TCP, IPV6, MPIV6
  • Understanding of software development and testing concepts for wireless handset for various air interface standards

Preferred Skills: (not must have)

  • Masters Degree in Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Familiarity with air interface performance analysis, characterization and optimization.
  • Experience using tools like QXDM/QCAT/XCAL/TEMs
  • Familiarity with IP telephony network (SIP, IMS and IP telephony standards)
  • Experience with stress testing

Location : San Diego, CA

Recent Grads are Qualified.

Bachelors Degree is required, Wireless technologies 5G/4G/LTE/3G, RF propagation/OFDM/CDMA, Understanding of call flows for 5G/4G/3G, programming in C/Perl/Shell Scripting, Experience using tools like QXDM/QCAT/XCAL/TEMs is a plus – provided by Dice
