We provide exceptional training and a clear career path.About This PositionPurposeThe Telecom Technician – Inmate position will provide customer servicerelative to the inmate telephone service to include phone, VVS and othertelecom repairs as well as be responsible for data entry as required. Theywill maintain a high level of ongoing effective communication with facilitystaff to assure quality customer service is being provided to all customersand issues are being resolved in a timely manner.Job DutiesProvide customer service relative to the inmate telephone service and beresponsible for data entry as required.Maintain, repair, and operate the onsite telecommunications hardware,networking hardware/software, various electronic equipment and wiring atall assigned correctional facilities.Interface with all internal ICSolutions organizations, various vendors andcontractors to resolve all onsite technical problems. Troubleshootingperformed by offsite personnel.Provide onsite instruction and training for customer personnelThis position should require minimal day to day supervision. The AccountManager will outline the responsibilities and expectations of the positionupon hire and will provide all training and tools necessary to be successful.This position will meet weekly with the Account Manager and their peers toreview account performance and receive any necessary feedback.What You’ll NeedQualifications:Minimum requirements:Excellent customer service skillsStrong organizational, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills2 years experience in TelecommunicationsInmate communication installation and repair experience:Inmate TelephonesVideo VisitationTTY or VRS UnitsHigh School Diploma or GEDBasic computer skillsMust be able to pass a criminal background checkPreferred qualifications:Previous Inmate Telecom experience highly preferredPractical experience with inside and outside plant cablingBasic understanding of network and bandwidth capabilities of services offeredBenefitsTKC Holdings, Inc. offers comprehensive benefits to all regular-full timeemployees.
