About the role:

The Sales Support Specialist will assist in FlowCam sales operations to accounts within the aquatics and biopharma industry. The Sales Support Specialist will be responsible for working with the sales team, assisting throughout all phases of the sales process. The Sales Support Specialist will interface with domestic customers, international partners, and inter-department teams in marketing, customer service, finance, engineering and operations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works closely with the Sales team, distributors, and international regional offices to maintain accurate and current data within the Salesforce database
• Develops reports, gathers statistics, and edits data in Salesforce on accounts, contacts, opportunities, and sales statistics
• Assists the Sales team with responding to customer requests for information, quote generation, and order status inquiries
• Demonstrates instrument software to prospective customers via webinars, virtual communications, and on-site demonstrations
• Coordinates with the Sales and Marketing teams to prepare demonstration instruments for workshops, conferences/tradeshows, and demonstrations
• Collaborates with the Sales team to help plan and execute events such as FlowCam workshops, scientific conferences/tradeshows, and demonstrations
• Works closely with the laboratory to coordinate customer sample analysis when preparing for demonstrations

Education:

• B.S. or B.A. degree; in life sciences (Marine Science, Freshwater Science, Phycology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related field)

Experience and Technical Requirements:

• 0-3 years’ experience in a customer-facing role in the Life Science industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with CRM tools, preferably Salesforce
• Technical aptitude to operate laboratory instrumentation and software
• Proficiency in Windows OS and Microsoft Office products
• Experience working in a laboratory environment
• Self-motivated with a growth and continuous improvement mindset
• Ability to multitask and remain detail-oriented and organized in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team

Physical Requirements:

• Work in office environment
• Use telecommunication tools
• Ability to lift an instrument (up to 50 lbs.)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, full time, flexibility as needed (In-Office at 200 Enterprise Drive, Scarborough, Maine.)
