Entry Level Network Operations Center Operator position in
Port Saint Lucie West with focus on satellite and Internet distribution of TV channels
Ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
Preferred recent graduates or students from Technical High School local college with AA in any technical area : computers, network, TV broadcasting
Basic Knowledge of Computers ( Word, Excel, email, networking)
Knowledge of Telecommunications desirable but not mandatory.
Fluent English (speaking and writing ) Spanish highly desirable but not mandatory
Ability to answer and make phone calls interacting with customers (TV & cable Networks ) and service providers ( fiber optic , electricity, satellite )
Willing to develop i knowledge of systems in order to develop the ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor issues independently
Ability to memorize facility emergency procedures, and perform the procedures independently
Willing to work on Graveyard shifts and weekends on fixed schedule
Willing to be trained and start at operational level with potential to growth to supervisory and / or to systems development /integration areas.
Shift Operator is responsible for Tier 1 operations monitoring and technical support and escalation to higher levels,covering the following systems:
Satellite Downlink of TV channels
IP Networking – Routers, Servers
Video Encoders and Multiplexers
Satellite Uplink system
NOC with Monitoring Multiviewers, Spectrum Analyzers , Monitoring software
IP Transmission
Infra-Structure – Electrical, UPS, Generator, Air Conditioning, Fiber Optics
