Security and Network Cable Technician

UTS Group is currently seeking an experienced professional Network Cable and Telecommunications Technician to join our team! We are looking for a motivated team player, with strong technical knowledge and a flexible schedule for this full-time position.

Primary Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Security and Network Cable Technician would be responsible for:

• Installation, servicing, and maintenance of all components of various security, intercom, and network systems.
• Assessing, testing and troubleshooting security equipment and systems to ensure proper service.
• Removing and replacing cables, wires, nodes and related equipment specific to the security industry.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, technical bulletins and building plans for proper installation.
• Working within a team environment that can consist of personnel from multiple trades.
• Submitting reports and making recommendations to the Operations Manager regarding issues or challenges with the products, installation process or progress, and other issues impacting the installation and timeline of projects.

Qualifications

· Completion of High-School diploma. College &/or Technical Trade training in electronics or datacom/telecom.

· Must have at least 2 years of installation experience in electrical equipment, CCTV cameras, and telecom systems.

· Knowledge and ability to use power tools with appropriate training for powered equipment and lifts.

· Ability to lift and move cameras, wall boxes, and related equipment associated with the security industry.

· Exceptional customer service skills.

· Must have strong interpersonal, communications, and organizational skills.

· Must have a valid FULL G driver’s license and a good driving record.

· Excellent attention to detail.

The ability to think outside the box and to think analytically to resolve issues that come up.

Salary: $28,530.00-$79,862.00 per year
