TekCom is looking for a Senior OSP Make Ready Engineer in the Hudson Valley area. This is a full time, direct hire position that will travel throughout Hudson Valley (covering approx. an hour north of NYC & an hour south of Albany). Position is home based with some field travel.
This role will help to design, engineer and deploy a fiber network. This is predominantly a design role with some field work.
Qualifications:
- Experience with OSP fiber networks from preliminary design through to a fully implemented solution
- 5+ years of Fiber Design/Engineering Make Ready experience
- Comfortable with field design (make ready) and permitting
- Comfortable working in the office and a field environment
- Experience with onsite engineering, path design and OSP/ISP surveys
- Familiarity reviewing design specs and documentation
- Experience creating workflows and processes and developing/maintaining project schedules
- Solid AutoCAD design skills
- An entrepreneurial spirit
- Knowledge of hubs, cabinets and power a plus
