Description
Our team and what we’ll accomplish together
Are you interested in being part of building TELUS’ future with 5G?
Are you someone who likes to roll up their sleeves and get things done? If so, you may be what we are looking for. We have an immediate opening for a Senior Program Manager to join our team. This role will work across business units to ensure execution of projects and initiatives that will deliver on the strategic priorities for 5G monetization and planning.
As a key member of the 5G Program Management Office, you will collaborate across the business on initiatives that will help define the 5G product roadmap. You will manage the deliverables to support the monetization planning activities and projects, and will lead the initiative work-streams through risk management, issues, change, dependencies, and conflicting priorities. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to clearly articulate issues that require attention and to collaborate on actions to achieve intended outcomes.
Our 5G PMO is part of the Business Solutions product marketing team. Key stakeholders include the product and customer marketing teams of Business Solutions, Home Solutions and Consumer Mobility, and our technology teams are a close partner.
The Senior Program Manager will manage a portfolio of projects focused on new 5G capability like Multi-Access Edge Compute (MEC), Slicing and Private Wireless Networks.
What you’ll do
Strategy Development: Work with the Manager of the 5G PMO to understand the 5G Roadmap and our Investment Plan and how your projects fit into the overall picture. The Senior Program Manager would typically be responsible for project managing 2-3 large products from product conception to optimizing post-launch outcomes.
Project Execution: You are the hub that brings together our partner teams:

Thought Leadership who will communicate our value prop in white papers and train sales
Marketing teams who will develop Go To Market (GTM) plans for new product launches
External Communications who write press releases for big launches to shape TELUS’ brand
You will lead project status meetings, at which you will identify the key cross-functional risks to project launch dates and scope and you will roll up your sleeves and work with our partner teams to drive resolution. Bonus points are available for identifying opportunities to get to market faster or finding creative ways to improve commercial outcomes.
Executive Communication: You will be asked to communicate project status to a variety of audiences (Director, VP and Executive levels) ranging from a few succinct bullet points and to an in-depth review with our CEO. You also need to proactively raise issues when there are roadblocks the working team can’t resolve.
