Senior Test Technician

We are looking for a skilled Senior Test Technician on an immediate start to work at a highly regarded Oxfordshire based aerospace & telecomms engineering company.
You will be responsible for conducting and supporting the test of Electrical, Electronic & Mechanical equipment in a class 100,000 clean room environment -clean room experience is essential.

Testing will include: electrical checkouts, including Continuity, Bonding and Isolation testing, Thermal Vacuum testing, Magnetic Moment and Vibration testing
Some knowledge of basic electronics theory would be useful: Ohms Law, Resistor & Diode identification, DC Circuit theory and Transducers. Knowledge of Single & 3 Phase electrical principles would also be an advantage but not critical.

Requirements for the Senior Test Technician role:
– A BTEC / ONC / HNC / C&G / Apprenticeship or equivalent in electrical / mechanical engineering
– Must be quality conscious and capable of working in a clean room environment
– Attention to detail and reliability is essential
– Ability to write software for Excel, test automation and test applications using Visual Basic / C# / LabVIEW would be an advantage

Location: South Oxfordshire ( commutable from Oxford, Abingdon, Reading, Newbury, Maidenhead, High Wycombe etc)
