Job Description:
Sr. VOIP Telecommunication Specialist (Morristown,NJ / Hybrid Remote)
The Sr. Telecommunications Specialist will assist in the design, performance, integration, administration and security of all telecom services and devices within the organization.
What you will do:
- Assist in developing strategic plans with all Telecom services and devices and with clearly defined near-term, mid-term, and long-term initiatives.
- Analyze project documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with applicable industry standards.
- Conduct site surveys; evaluate technical aspect of all phases of project work and document observations, recommendations and deficiencies.
- Determine the appropriate configurations of multiple hardware or software components of information systems or telecommunications networks to deliver stated levels of performance, interoperability, and maintenance support.
- Physical conference room configuration, including cable management, A/V devices, and all accessory devices.
- Manage, coordinate, and supervise A/V vendor on-site support.
- Collaborate, discuss, and document technical requirements, technical risks, issues, and opportunities with other team members and external stakeholder.
- Assist with providing assistance for life cycle cost analysis, work breakdown structure, plans and programs, or any other deliverable; prepare written inputs and comments for any technical review or discussion.
- Contribute technical guidance with Telecommunication/Video/Conferencing/Collaboration projects and initiatives.
- Display a strong understanding of IT technologies and how they mesh with the Collaboration space.
- Display strong documentation skills for how to guides, troubleshooting techniques, company communications, ROI requests, and RCAs.
- Ability to verbally and visually articulate responses to company personnel’s questions and concerns on all Telecommunication Team supported technologies.
- Appreciation for an expected high level and high quality of support for company personnel.
- Strong team member and contributor to the growth of fellow teammates.
- Provide Tier 2 and 3 support for collaboration platforms such as Zoom, and MS Teams.
- Provide Tier 2 and 3 support for on premise Voice and Video devices.
- Provide Tier 2 and 3 support for Cloud Collaboration Services.
- Provide Tier 2 and 3 support for faxing services, ATAs, and 3rd party SIP devices.
- Provide Tier 2 and 3 support for SIP Trunks and Cisco (SBC) Cube Router.
- Provide Tier 1 support to end users including but not limited, to onboarding and terminations.
- Assist staff in the main office and remote locations with technical support of collaboration tools, including physical telephones and meeting assistance.
- Provide support outside of normal business hours to address issues or new initiatives.
- Travel may be required
What you will bring to C&F:
- 5-10+ years of experience in related field or relevant role
- Associate’s degree or certificate in electronics or telecommunications technology
- Prior experience with VOIP and SIP Trunk implementations
- Experience with networking protocols including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, WAN/LAN TCP/IP
- Analytical mindset, innovative, and systematic problem solver
- Organized with ability to work independently and with a team
- Must possess strong written and oral communications skills
- Familiarity with companies operating at a national and global scale
- Experience with Cloud based collaboration solutions
