JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary –
We are looking to fill our Technician seats as part of our Structured Cabling Team. As a member of our highly competitive team, this seat will oversee all job site activities. Working with our Project Managers, the Technician must have a knowledge of cabling installation procedures for both Copper and Fiber applications.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities-
SCOPE: (What are the daily activities that are included in this role?)
- Install cable pathway systems (cable trays, cable racks, J-hooks or D-rings).
- Install, terminate, and test low voltage cables & fiber optic cables.
- Install, terminate, test, label, and document horizontal, backbone and other cables.
- Dress and route cable into MDF, IDF, and work outlets.
- Build out telecommunication and equipment rooms.
- Test, troubleshoot, and document test results for cabling.
- Fire-stop various types of cable penetrations.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Maintain a satisfactory compliance with customer.
- Prepare weekly progress reports
- Be able to complete assigned tasks on time and under budget
- Be able to communicate with Project Managers and Customers
Requirements (Education/Experience):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s license
- 1-2 years work experience in Structured Cabling preferred
Preferred Qualifications – (bi-lingual, preferred certifications etc.)
- BICSI Training
- Industry Certifications (BICSI, Legrand, Hubbell, Leviton, Siemens, Limited Energy)
Special Position Requirements – (travel, ability to work nights and weekends, lifting, climbing, etc.)
- Must be able to work variable hours
- Must be able to operate a lift
- Must be able to read and understand blue prints
- Must be able to carry 60lbs,
- Must be able to bend, kneel, crawl, walk, and climb as needed to complete tasks.

Pay: $17.00 – $21.00 per hour
