NuStef Baking Ltd. is a Canadian food manufacturer known across North America for its unique line of specialty, artisan style cookies and crisps. NuStef produces a unique Italian style waffle cookie branded Reko pizzelle and artisan crisps under its Kii naturals and The Crisp Bakery brands. We also produce private label for some of the largest retailers in North America. We bake our products fresh to order and our cookies are sold primarily in the in-store bakery department and our crisps are sold primarily in the deli department or specialty cracker section at most regional and national retailers.
POSITION
The ERP System & Network Specialist is primarily responsible for managing the performance of our SYSPRO ERP software system, engaging cross functionally with internal stakeholders to maximize system potential, including the development of business reporting tools using SQL. This role will also manage and support all IT hardware, software, and network functionality, and the administration/creation of Power BI reports.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ERP System Management:
- Reviews functional use of both SYSPRO and MOM systems to ensure products are being used effectively by all stakeholders, engaging in team training initiatives as necessary.
- Analyzes, and evaluates SYSPRO/MOM user processes/needs to determine solution design and impact of proposed changes to application(s).
- Troubleshoots all SYSPRO and user equipment and IT issues.
- Facilitates small to large group meetings for technical design, decision making, problem solving and solution implementation; collaborates with team members on design and impact of proposed changes.
- Provides estimates on work effort of proposed system improvements.
- Converts requirements into program specifications.
- Designs, programs, and configures SYSPRO system and environment setup.
- Creates unit and system test plans and runs tests, coordinates User Acceptance Testing and revises programs as necessary.
- Responsible for writing system documentation including design docs, implementation checklists and plans, operating and on-call procedures as defined by the methodology.
- Leads the implementation of application changes, including monitoring/scheduling port upgrades.
- Resolves SYSPRO/MOM incidents/issues with a sense of urgency and escalates in timely manner as necessary.
Network Management:
- Manage laptops & accounts including distribution of hardware and software.
- Add/Remove user accounts, Computer accounts, through MS Exchange, Active Directory, and Symantec EP management application and installations.
- Purchase, upgrade, install new laptops and provide support to team members, including tracking of IT hardware inventory.
- Accountable for all day-to-day performance and availability of all hardware and software.
- In collaboration with internal and external resources, troubleshoot and repair systems to ensure maximum up time.
- Analyze, install and maintain all Wide and Local Area Fiber, Wired and Wireless Networking Systems, RF equipment, network printing and scanner
- Configure, install, maintain and upgrade hardware and software in accordance with the company’s standards and vendor licensing agreements.
- Manage, support, and maintain internal telephone systems and mobile telecommunication users
- Act as Power user of Power BI developing and updating daily/weekly/monthly reports to provide business intelligence to the team
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, 5+ years managing SYSPRO/MOM ERP system.
- Experience with process design, implementation, and improvement.
- MS SQL Server, SQL Queries, and other Database experience.
- Strong understanding of databases and data structures.
- Ability to manipulate data within Excel/SQL for customer focused value-added business intelligence and analysis.
- Experience with Crystal Reports and/or VIVID reporting is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with multiple teams to drive alignment and results.
- Attention to detail, sense of urgency, and commitment to deadlines.
- Experience within information technology operations with 3 to 5 years of experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft applications
- Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot a Network environment; LAN/WAN and multi-platform environments.
- Experience in Power BI environment to create & manage reports
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Busy office setting, may require travel to our Mississauga facility.
- Communication by phone, text, e-mail, online and in person meetings.
- Occasionally exposed to plant environments, noise, dust, and various aromas of baked goods.
- Repetitive work using computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
- Changes to start/end times may be required based on operational needs.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
