Purpose:
To perform required calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair on test and manufacturing equipment according to predetermined schedules, and on an “as needed” basis.

Major Roles and Responsibilities:
Performs calibration, maintenance and repair on manufacturing and test equipment

Responsible for ensuring that calibration and maintenance occurs according to schedule; this involves planning own schedule, and planning around the schedules of equipment users and production plans

Responsible for ensuring that calibration occurs on, or before the scheduled date; maintain appropriate documentation, including tolerance levels; generate Out of Tolerance reports as required, and forward to Quality Assurance

Maintains precise records for each piece of equipment, ensuring traceability

Responsible for ESD hook ups and verifications

Follows prescribed calibration/verification/maintenance procedures

Administers Maintscape, the software database for controlling equipment

Provides technical support to peers in areas of expertise

Performs other duties as required

Qualifications:
Electrical engineering technician/technologist diploma or equivalent

2 to 5 years of related work experience in calibrating/repairing test and measurement equipment

Production equipment maintenance experience

Prior work experience in military/aerospace or telecommunications industry

Strong electro-mechanical understanding

Computer literacy and proficiency with various software applications including Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining deadlines.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills
