Day to Day for this Tech: There is a third party that will do all of the asset ordering, set up and install, CHC. Phase I: Before CHC can come in, these analysts/techs need to build them a comprehensive map of all the existing and needed equipment, and notate how all calls need to be routed accordingly. For example, in one building you may have an Ascension Lab in one office, and an Ascension doctor’s office in another. They may want calls routed in a doctor’s office differently than in a lab. These consultants will go clinic by clinic and map out this equipment and interview stakeholders to understand how they need routing, voicemail, etc set up. – Log assets in spread sheet – build map of assets – Log phone numbers onsite – Identify the unique needs of each business unit (Lab, docs office, specialized clinic etc) – Note different call restructuration’s and services that clinic may need – Note where new network cables may need to be installed Phase II: While CHC is ordering and programing the assets, this person will be doing a large clean up/rationalization effort- – Reorganizing closets – Punch down circuits – Tone and Tag, trace down circuits to make sure they have good wiring in the closets for devices. – Get rid of assets that don’t need to be in the closets or asset storage areas. Phase III: This person will work with CHC to install the phone systems and bring them on the network. To Someone else? What does ACD stand for? What is another name for this? – Automatic Call Distribution (old language for Contact Center) What is the different between IDF and MDF? – Main Distribution Frame – interim distribution frame
