Scope and Purpose of Position:

The Telecom/AV Specialist is responsible for the installation, problem diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a full range of telecommunications equipment encompassing both legacy and current Unified Communication technologies. The Specialist will address issues of availability and reliability for voice, data, messaging, and video connectivity within all Versant locations. This role will also support and maintain the existing video conferencing system at the Versant Health corporate office.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists in maintaining the communications infrastructure and its associated software including conferencing systems.
  • Assist in troubleshooting networking and connection issues
  • Performs installation and testing of new products individually or as part of a team
  • Performs daily maintenance checks of video conference rooms and insures proper escalation and resolution to challenges found
  • Prioritize job assignments such as work orders, engineering changes, and trouble calls as required to accommodate customer needs while minimizing impact on current operations
  • Respond to incident requests, inquiries and questions in a timely, professional, polite and responsive manner
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Adhere to privacy and confidential and proprietary company policies and procedures (i.e. HIPAA)
  • Less than 10% travel
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Two (2) plus years of experience in deploying, and supporting unified communications
  • Experience with RingCentral, NICE Incontact, UserHub and MicrosoftTeams
  • Technical understanding of cloud architecture and video conferencing solutions
  • Technical understanding of SIP, H.323, TCP/IP, PSTN, T1/PRI, MPLS, SD-WAN and QOS
  • Hands-on experience with Windows 10 OS, Mac OS, iOS and Android OS environments
  • Prior experience with large to very large enterprise environments that include multiple site location
  • Knowledge and experience in the insurance, health, or vision care industry preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
