Education, Training and Skills Required:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Foreman MUST have OSHA 30
  • Must be physically able to pass climb training and CPR/First Aid
  • Must have 6+ years of experience climbing and working on towers
  • Must have experience with site surveys and path surveys
  • Must have experience with completing “close out” packages
  • Must have experience with customer interfacing and problem resolution
  • Must have experience running crews of 2 to 5 climbers and solving team issues
  • Schedule and coordinate with all local authorities for required inspections
  • Ensure Construction Supervisor is apprised of construction progress, concerns and deviations from plans or established schedule
  • Coordinate resources to meet construction schedules
  • Coordinate delivery and off-loading of towers, materials, generators and shelters, antennas, etc.
  • Identify construction “punch list” of items to be remedied and ensure they are completed prior to customer’s inspection
  • Finalize all inspections to close project
  • Assign tasks to fellow crew members and perform civil or tower construction activities such as (These preceding items are civil construction activities), stacking towers, testing, positioning antennas, installing antennas, running coax, etc.
  • Ensure tasks assigned to crew are completed in timely, quality manner
  • Train and assist employees in completing tasks
  • May maintain and enforce all OSHA safety practices, perform daily jobsite safety inspections on equipment prior to operation. Immediately stops work when unsafe work practices or conditions exist
  • Evaluate the job sites and communications equipment, and secure and protect as required
  • Knowledge of sector/antenna configurations with respect to jumper and coax routing, RET settings and cabling, and fiber routing
  • Fully test an antenna/line system as required via PIM or Sweep
  • Proficient testing and working with Fiber
  • Follow detailed method of procedures (MOP) and practices to perform maintenance on equipment
  • Interpret the alarm conditions on the network and implement repairs and restoration plans to ensure minimal service disruption and impact to customer
  • Perform tower construction activities including assembling/erecting towers, installing antennas, mounting hardware, installing coax and connectors, grounding, testing, positioning, and optimizing antennas and lines
  • Read Plans, Site Plans and Tower Drawings
  • Install, connect and test underground and above ground grounding systems
  • Complete work in a timely and efficient manner by planning, prioritizing, and mobilizing staff, materials to meet schedule
  • Ensure Site Supervisor or Construction Manager is apprised of construction progress, concerns, and deviations from plans or established schedule
  • Identify all materials and other resources needed to complete project
  • Identify construction “punch list” of items to be remedied and ensure they are completed prior to customer’s inspection
  • Work with Construction Manager or Site Supervisor to analyze job requirements such as labor and materials
  • Must be able to work overtime to include Saturdays, Sundays and evening hours
  • Other projects and duties as assigned
  • Oversee the daily operations at assigned sites
  • Maintain daily paperwork required for the site and the crew
  • Implement and follow through with job instructions provided by the Project Manager
  • Ensure the quality control requirements are met at the site
  • Compile all site-specific closeout documentation required per job specifications
  • Coordinate with customer representative for site related activities
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and actively train/promote skills to crew members
  • Attend vendor and in-house training and participates in certification programs as necessary
  • Pick up/delivery of supplies, tools, equipment, components, etc.
  • Ensure work is performed and completed in accordance with local, state and federal regulations, including assistance with permits as well as inspections.
  • Technical support when necessary
  • Operation and adjustment of commonly used tools in the wireless industry efficiently
  • Frequent performance of duties in outside weather conditions exposure to inclement weather conditions
  • Experience working with various carriers and general contractor’s
  • Effectively interface with all levels of Management, Staff, and Customers
  • Willingness to take hands on approach in leading their team through demonstration
  • Pass background check and substance screening
  • Driving record must meet Ethos insurance standards and must maintain a valid state Driver’s License
  • Intermediate computer operation skills and familiarity with internet based programs (time clocks, project packages, data entry)

Education, Training and Skills To Be Completed:

  • After 90 days of employment – Climb Training, Rigging, Man Lift & Scissors Lift
  • After 6 months of employment – Sweep & PIM

Essential Duties:

  • Must be reliable – daily attendance for scheduled work is mandatory and must be able to complete projects on time
  • Should be able to estimate time, material and other costs
  • Must be able to pull permits and pass inspections
  • Performs night MOP work as required
  • Demonstrates the ability to learn defect detection, repair and construction of telecom projects. Assures projects are built to customer specifications. Seeks assistance when encountering issues to ensure success in problem resolution
  • Must be able to work in high places and work in small spaces
  • Must be well-organized, self-starter with a strong attention to detail
  • Follows product specifications and maintenance schedules and executes plans as directed.
  • Communicating both verbally and in writing as well as take direction both verbally and in writing
  • Completes required reports and other paperwork which will require computer entry
  • Closely adheres to all safety standards and procedures. Identifies gaps in safety standards as well as safety risks in the environment and provides recommendations to higher level technical staff and management
  • Maintains adherence to Company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices
  • Maintains proper care of Company tools and vehicles
  • Analyze situations accurately and complete assigned course of action
  • Effectively contributes to strong team environment through assisting team members in accomplishing goals, supporting and promoting team spirit and cooperation
  • Demonstrates integrity, strong initiative, as well as a focus on quality of work and safety on a daily basis
  • Proactively looks for improvement opportunities to job appropriate processes and procedures and communicates through appropriate channels
  • Performs overtime work, including working a flexible and variable work schedule as needed to meet business objectives
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
