Job Description

V&J Consulting LLC is a small veteran owned business that is rapidly growing. V&J is looking for an experienced Telecommunications Aerial Lineman. If you’re an Aerial Lineman and want to become part of a fast-growing company with outstanding growth potential, V&J is the place for you! This role can turn into a project manager position with the right candidate!

Lineman will be working as part of a two-man splice crew on a regular basis. Experience with fiber splicing is a major plus, but not required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Placement of fiber optic cable
• Must have experience climbing
• Splicing of fiber optic cable and installing outside plant equipment
• Installing strand
• Lashing cable, applying tension
• Ability to safely operate a bucket truck
• Utilize standard telecommunications tools
• Access various installation points
• Access construction points as required
• Proficient in new build, maintenance and pole transfers

Benefits: After 3 months with V&J Consulting, you will be eligible for medical and dental coverage. Employees will start with 2 weeks of PTO during their first year and get 3 weeks of PTO their second year.

401K: After one year, you will be eligible for V&J Consulting 401K Plan.

JOB REQUIREMENTS At least 3 yrs. experience.

• A valid, unrestricted driver’s license
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Candidates must be able to pass a background screening, motor vehicle check and drug test
• Follow safety protocols, procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment.
• Must be punctual, responsible and well organized
• Must be able to track and communicate daily production and materials.
• Must be capable of handling logistics and crew assignments
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet)
• Able to perform work on uneven surfaces; frequently climb ladders, on/off equipment and work from various heights
• Must be able to lift 70 pounds and stand for extended periods of time

Pay: $25.00 – $38.00 per hour
