The position of telecommunications rigger consists of the installation of telecommunications structure equipment. The work can be done in towers, on the rooftop of buildings or inside industrial and commercial buildings. The telecommunications rigger works constantly as part of a team and may be required to travel anywhere in Canada.

Responsibilities :

Our telecommunications riggers perform some or all of the following duties:

• Line and antenna installation;
• Microwave link installation, microwave canvas replacement;
• Installation and maintenance of indoor wireless networks;
• Installation of fiber optic cabling;
• Addition of equipment to existing structure or dismantling of equipment or structure;
• Structural verification, equipment support, anchoring and guy wire;
• Assembly, erection and maintenance of telecommunications towers;
• Optical fiber (replacement and/or installation, verification);
• Installation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications equipment;
• Other work related to business operations.

Job profile:

• 1-2 years minimum experience required;
• Excellent physical shape and good skills for manual work;
• Ability to work at height (from 0 to 200 meters);
• Ability to work in difficult climatic conditions both in summer and winter;
• Autonomous, methodical and proactive;
• Great ease of adaptation and teamwork;
• Great mobility to carry out projects throughout Alberta and occasionally in other provinces;

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
