Telecommunications Project Coordinator
12 Month, Potential to Convert to Permanent.
$45 hourly
Hybrid position, candidates must be local to Columbus area. Typically, 2 days in office/week (Tues. and Weds. Currently preferred).
Potential for local travel for site visits
Potential for occasional OT if needed and pre-approved
Responsible to coordinate project team activities and support the Project Managers (PM).
Essential Job Functions & Tasks:
1. Coordinate needed project meetings and ensured clear minutes and action items.
2. Communicate with stakeholders to update plans, checklists, statuses, and budgets.
3. Prepare forecasts of project spending and cash flows, budget variance monitoring, cost tracking/analysis; provide analysis and verification for Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) activities.
4. Track, analyze and submit information for unvouchered liabilities (UVLs). Create contract requisitions, work authorizations, processing change orders, and tracking Contractor costs.
5. Coordinate the work order process related to a project from creation of the work order through in-servicing and closing, including work order analysis reports, placing work orders in service, preparing journal entry reclassifications, and completing the Major Plant in Service Report, etc.
6. Keep project system records current and complete.
7. Track and analyze project costs using various reporting systems.
8. Advise PM of project costs and notify PM when the project is approaching 100%.
Minimum Requirements:
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Construction Management, or related field of study; or associate degree with 2 years related work experience.
Work Experience: In addition to any experience required above, two years’ experience working on project management, cost tracking analysis, forecasting, project budgets, and working with accounting principles.
Additional requirements:
Work experience in Telecom field, or IT/Technical field.
