The law offices of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, a leading defense firm, is seeking a Telecommunications Administrator for its Philadelphia, PA office.

Position Summary:

The Telecommunications Administrator is responsible for the daily operations of the Firm’s voice services, including all Avaya Red telephone equipment including CM and voicemail.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide installation, technical support and maintenance for new or existing firm telecommunications services
  • Create documentation, procedures, checklists and project plans as required
  • Consult with end users to evaluate/analyze collaboration and communication business requirements
  • Work with end users on support tickets related to issues or functionality
  • Recommend, develop and implement communications solutions based on business requirements
  • Assist management by providing recommendations for future telecommunications projects and budget planning
  • Monitor, operate, install and maintain telecommunications solutions and equipment
  • Administer employee adds, moves and changes including setup of phones and voice services
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software or circuit issues to ensure system performance
  • Assist Telecommunications Engineer with telecom network software installations, updates and overall maintenance of voice service configurations
  • Maintain call detail reports and billing support for cost recovery; and create custom reports as required
  • Provision, implement and maintain voice circuits per solution design keeping organized and accurate records for all circuits with associated numbering schemes
  • Perform call management functions on a daily basis including re-routing of calls as necessary due to business requirements or emergencies implementing business continuity plans
  • Coordinate with telecommunications’ carriers and service providers to ensure system performance and support; including escalation of trouble tickets
  • Manage the Firm’s cloud based emergency contact system and teleconferencing cloud service.
  • Ability to provide after hours and weekend support for planned upgrades/maintenance and emergencies
  • Ability to travel to other sites for system maintenance or upgrades.
  • Maintain carrier services accounts and process monthly invoicing for payment
  • Create, maintain and update accurate technical documentation and training materials for users
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Hybrid work environment consisting of working in the Firm’s Philadelphia office and remotely

  • Required knowledge in supporting AVAYA hardware, software and server applications including: Avaya S8300 Communications Managers, IX Messaging, Vera Smart eCAS, CMS
  • Must have working knowledge of connectivity, including, T1’s, MPLS, Fiber optics and VPN
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Visio

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
  • Experience working with AVAYA RED systems preferred
  • Experience with telecommunications project management including research, cost analysis, disaster recovery and business continuity planning
  • Must have experience implementing and troubleshooting AVAYA VoIP Solutions
  • Experience working in a Legal telecommunications environment preferred
