Telcommunication Administrator
Location: North Chicago, IL
Description
Marathon TS is looking for an experienced Telecommunication Administrator to join our team. As the Telecommunication Administrator, you will design data communication systems, administer devices, manage installation services and install/test VoIP devices.
Responsibilities
Design or configure voice, video, and data communications systems.
Collaborates with network engineers, telecom analysts and enterprise architects to define projects, involved devices and services, and timelines.
Administrates and manages devices and services, in addition to equipment and services accounts.
Receives and documents various operational, maintenance and troubleshooting requests.
Develops proper reporting and documentation services.
Looks into necessary billing inquiries and resolution of disputes.
Supervise installation and post-installation service and maintenance.
Provides appropriate objective metrics for different vendors, services, and devices.
Provide unclassified and secret level telecommunications devices and services to users throughout the Command.
Provide telecommunications support including landline telephony management, data circuit management, and wireless device (e.g., smartphone, satellite phone, tablet, and hotspot) support.
Configure, test, and install VoIP handsets, add users, and troubleshoot all issues.
Requirements
Eight (8) years’ experience in networking and computer system administration in a telecommunication environment.
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.
Active DoD Secret Clearance.
One or more of the following certifications: Security+, Network+ CE, IAT Level II, AVIXA, ITILv4.
Exceptional inter-personal and communications skills.
Strong decision-making and management skills.
