The Field Supervisor’s primary role is to oversee the installation and servicing of Creek customers in a designated area or city. Field Supervisor’s are focused on the performance and development of individual contributors in a team setting. Each day the Field Supervisor works side by side with technicians at various job sites, ensuring safety, productivity and quality. Also all work permits are in order and paperwork is handled each day from all the crews the supervisor is overseeing. Supervisors are accountable for their teams overall performance inside their area of responsibility. Supervisors often coordinate with upper management and the scheduling teams to ensure effective daily field operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage day to day performance of the installation technicians.
- Manage overall team/individual performance and development.
- Provide leadership and performance coaching to team members.
- Ensure technicians have needed tools and equipment.
- Work closely with the scheduling departments to maximize route and job completion efficiency.
- Closely monitor the safety and quality control of technicians.
- Daily work on ladders and rooftops to assist with installs, service calls and site inspections.
- Lead daily and weekly team meetings.
- Provide onsite troubleshooting support.
- Closely monitor inventory levels.
- Interview potential candidates.
- Communicate and report performance regularly to the local Area Manager
- Travel to other areas on occasion to assist in opening new markets as needed.
- Identify and report potential process and policy gaps that impact team safety, quality, and performance.
Experience/Qualifications
- Bachelors or Associates degree in computer science, networking, business or another related field (trade school is preferred), or four years of job experience.
- Minimum two (2) years experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Two (2) years supervisory experience in a team environment in the telecommunications field service industry (ISP, Wireless ISP, Satellite TV, Cable).
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to respond quickly to escalated issues daily.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and complete assignments with limited direction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent training, coaching and presentation skills.
- Comfortable working safely on ladders and rooftops.
- Experience with relevant software applications, Microsoft Office Suite products
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to make visual inspections.
- Underground/Aerial OSP. Experience preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
