Responsibilities:

  • Design and create engineering plans for Aerial, Underground telecommunications using fibre optics and or coaxial.
  • Creation of application drawings and pertinent documentation for submission to ROW / facility owners (i.e. Hydro, Municipalities, etc.).
  • Create and conduct field surveys to ensure the best possible routes for construction.
  • Create and validate detailed cost analysis to include BOM (bill of material) lists and installation costs.
  • Work with internal and external groups and or provide them support.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of job-related experience in Telecommunications drafting / design
  • Experience in AutoCAD and SpatialNET is a requirement.
  • Proficient with MS-Office (especially Excel); and the ability to learn new systems and software programs.
  • Capable of working independently and with others
  • Self-starter with high attention to detail.
  • Customer Service focused is a requirement.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills to interface with other departments within and outside of the company.
  • Proactive problem solver with strong listening skills
  • Clean Criminal Record
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • Eligible to work in Canada
