Telecommunications Design Technician

This is a contract position – One year Contract, with two one year options

Requirements MUST be demonstrated on resume

Successful Candidate Must pass a proprietary AutoCAD test

Must have an Associate degree from an accredited school in engineering or design related fields and 3 years of experience as an Associate Design Technician. Candidates that do not possess an associate degree must have a minimum of 5 years of related work experience in the design field.

Serves as the primary resource for production of design drawings for all engineering department personnel. Orders material, aids in the development of design standards, and provides applicable technical support to field construction and maintenance crews.

Prepares telecommunication design drawings with guidance:

• Coordinates efforts with engineers, other internal departmental personnel, and design consultants to ensure that design work is in accordance with design standards.
• Coordinates efforts with external customers, developers, and permitting agencies to ensure facilities are compatible with surrounding development. Develops and maintains professional and technical relationships with external customers and local government agencies.
• Coordinates and executes the issuance of design package to construction personnel.
• Assists with project close-outs including record drawings and mapping updates.

Maintains department records.

Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes, and regulations applicable to position and company.

REQUIREMENTS:

1) Must pass proprietary AutoCAD Skills Test

2) Associate degree AND three years verifiable related experience

Five years verifiable related experience.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $38.00 – $42.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
