An emerging IT professional within the Telecommunications family developing and applying technical expertise in one or more IT disciplines that support Cook Children’s Telephony infrastructure. Jobs in this family are responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, installing, and/or deploying technologies. In addition, they are responsible for the establishment, development, and promotion of standard architectures, as well as hardware and software components.
This role provides consulting services to application development teams and/or customers regarding technologies and the application of specific technology standards. Disciplines for this job description include: configuration, repair and installation of telecommunications voice and data lines while adhering to code standards, analysis and troubleshooting of telecommunications infrastructure issues, providing technical assistance to the community, configuration and support of Avaya Aura platform, Shoretel, Call recording and other telecommunications systems. Position is also accountable for layer 1 cabling infrastructure troubleshooting and implementation quality assurance.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED Required, Bachelor’s degree in technical field preferred.
  • 2 years of equivalent job experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Active listening, empathy, patience.
  • Ability to present technical information to non-technical audience.
