Telecommunications Engineer

CEIs Fortune 30 Client in Media and Telecommunications is adding an Installation Engineer to their Metro Ethernet team! Here you will receive inbound calls from technicians in the field and turning up Metro-E services.

• Long term contract with potential for extension and/or permanent placement
• Contract offers optional benefits (401k, Dental, Vision, Medical)

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems
• Performs engineering design evaluations; may develop a range of products
• Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
• Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager
• Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains products/equipment
• Identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed

Required Skills:

• Must be detail-oriented
• Previous telecommunications experience

Nice to have:

• Field testing (Juniper/Cisco)
• CCNA, CCNP, CEA, CEP, or JNCIA certification
• Routing & switching
• Ethernet experience

Pay: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
