Join us in innovating our telecom infrastructure that is fundamental to a fast-growing, banking business. You will be playing a crucial role in developing the next generation telecom infrastructure, and get the opportunity to design and deliver scalable, resilient telecommunications while maintaining a constant customer focus. Your peers will be systems and network engineers working towards a common goal of making our telephony platform and associated infrastructure more capable, scalable, reliable and efficient for our members.
You’ll assist in leading the next evolution in telecommunications practice by:
- Work with a team of engineers building, configuring, implementing, and supporting the migration from on-prem to an innovative hybrid or full UCaaS solution.
- Collaborate with internal customers in order to analyze their business requirements and offer comprehensive solutions utilizing current and potential voice technologies including Contact Center.
- Assist in management of vendors in order to facilitate the purchase of telecommunications products and service, and technical support services.
- Coordinates with product and project management to provide an understanding of the technical feasibility of new roadmap items.
- Design and deploy new telecommunication infrastructures for new branches.
- Staying abreast of the latest technologies and industry trends through training and conferences
What You Bring with You:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or 4 additional years of directly related experience in telecommunications
- Minimum 3 years of experience developing, managing, and designing enterprise network environments
- Minimum 5 years of experience in telecommunications engineering related functions including a combination of architect, engineering, and deploying solutions.
- Thorough understanding of the OSI network model and extensive experience in network technologies: IP Switches, Routers, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, VoIP, QoS, BGP, ATM, MPLS, SD-WAN, and VPN.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace.
- Strong project management and coordination skills.
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills required.
- Able to work independently without supervision and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Demonstrated knowledge of phone switch technology including PBX, voicemail, IVR, and call accounting applications.
- Firsthand experience with physical plant issues such as cross-connects, and other wiring-related duties.
- Strong knowledge and experience with PCs and data networks.
- Strong knowledge and experience with current audio/video technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certification(s) preferred pertaining to telecommunication infrastructure engineering, administration, design and maintenance, and advanced administration. Examples: Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNA Collaboration, Network+, Avaya ACSS.
- Experience with Telecommunication providers, SIP/VoIP providers, and cloud providers.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management platforms.
- Experience with phone systems like Avaya, Cisco, or uCaaS.
