Job Description

The position will be responsible for negotiating IP peering agreements between the client and other wireless and wireline carriers. Primary duties including serving as the primary point of contact for managing existing agreements to include issue resolution for billing, terms and conditions, traffic flows, and disputes. Candidate will also lead negotiation for new agreements and will be responsible for vetting them through legal and Network Planning.

Required Skills

Ability to interact with internal and external subject matter experts in interconnection,

traffic engineering, and legal.

Understanding of the financial impacts of inter-carrier traffic exchange

Knowledge of traffic types and traffic exchange between telecom networks including local, retail, and warehouse.

Desired Skills

Experience with negotiating agreements

General understanding of rate centers, numbering, and local exchange routing guide (LERG)

Familiarity with FCC regulation of inter-carrier traffic exchange including but not limited to Stir/SHKN, rural call completion requirements, and robocall tracebacks.

Education Requirements – Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or other applicable disciplines
