We are looking for a Field Engineering Manager (Chief Engineer) / Outside Plant with telecommunications experience. The successful candidate will be a great communicator, self-directed, quality-focused, and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

The Field Engineering Manager (Chief Engineer) oversees the planning, design, and construction of all telecommunications outside plant.

• Manages engineering functions to ensure effective distribution systems and processes are in place.

• Develop and achieve department goals and objectives
• Serve as subject matter expert
• Prepare and present recommendations to executive leadership
• Implement best practices
• Ensure quality control measures
• Coordination with other groups, both internal and external, on complex projects
• Assign daily activities of engineering staff
• Participates in strategic planning processes
• Reviews current OSP layout for ensuring validity of routes
• Special projects (State and Federal mapping obligations, internal mapping and informational needs, etc)
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. PE license, strongly preferred
• 5-7 years telecommunications OSP experience
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Google Earth
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Valid driver’s license

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
