Telecommunications Line Technician

Pickard Construction is a privately owned company with multiple offices across Ontario. Operating since 1979, we specialize in utility construction in the telecommunications and hydro infrastructure fields. We offer a wide range of services including but not limited to Directional Drilling, Plowing, Line Construction, Rock drilling and Fibre splicing

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail;
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions;
• Ability to work with professionalism, interact politely with customers and the public, and demonstrate excellent work ethic;
• Ability to work in a physically demanding atmosphere, must be able to frequently lift 50+ lbs;
• Ability to climb up to 40 feet
• Must be a self-disciplined, motivated, organized, and a team player;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines;

Valid Class DZ License – ability to operate bucket truck
Working at Heights Certificate
Standard First Aid
Electrical Awareness

Experience Required; 3 years Telecommunications line knowledge

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
