Position Summary

Responsible for site development for major Air Traffic Control and Landing System (ATCALS) projects supporting the Radar Approach Control (RAPCON) Relocations/Retrofits and Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) Installations, including engineering documentation, Plant-in-Place drawings, detailed installation documentation, materials logistics, and installation oversight to satisfy customer requirements within their Statements of Requirements.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervises telecommunications personnel and projects
  • Manages OSP projects and personnel
  • Maintains department equipment and vehicles
  • Meets with customers to ensure personnel are providing quality services and potential clients to obtain future workload
  • Prepares budget inputs for inclusion into the company budget
  • Develops department monthly metrics
  • Performs site surveys and drafts reports
  • Drafts and reviews Infrastructure proposals to include labor hours, project schedules, equipment installation plans, list of materials, quality assurance plans, and safety programs required to complete the project

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant subject and 10+ years of relevant work experience leading and managing complex enterprise-level Communications-Electronics infrastructure implementation projects across multiple Communications-Electronics disciplines such as: Air Traffic Control and Landing System (ATCALS) infrastructure, Voice (VOIP), UHF/VHF Radio, Optical Fiber, and Structured Cabling. Manages personnel performing site surveys, site preparation, and installation of Standard Terminal Automation Replacement Systems (STARS) and relocation of Radar Approach Control (RAPCON) facilities and control towers.
