Your Impact:

Jacobs is seeking a qualified Audio-Visual Programmer to support the IT Service Management (ITSM) contract at Scott AFB, IL. Jacobs provides information technology solutions and services to a broad range of both Government and private industry, including Department of Defense, Federal Civilian agencies, healthcare, education, and small/medium business market. Our analysts, engineers, and technicians are highly trained, qualified subject matter experts, understanding each segments specialized business processes, requirements, and functions. Combined with an extensive IT background, Information Solutions Group’s enhanced IT services enable our clients to analyze existing business processes, identify process improvements, evaluate associated risks, and develop operational solutions.

The Audio-Visual Programmer designs and programs control interface touch panels for audio visual systems. Works with Design Engineer and Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative to ensure a user-friendly operating environment for controlling audio/visual equipment. Provides training to users to ensure proper use and care.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and update the VTC architecture, to include a graphical representation, and document them in accordance with configuration management processes
  • Provide access to the architectures in a format that can be modified by the Government
  • Develop and maintain AV/VTC C&A products for connection approvals and DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP)/Risk Management Framework (RMF), Interim Authority to Operate (IATO), and Authority to Operate (ATOs) IAW DoD directives
  • Engineer, design, program, integrate existing, and install new AV/VTC systems
  • Submit AV/VTC designs and project schedule in a timely manner to the Government for review and approval in accordance with government priorities
  • Coordinate changes to the design with the Government prior to implementation
  • Ensure compliance with configuration management and change management processes and practices Maintain and manage all AV/VTC control systems and audio processor software, system drawings, and other documentation in support of engineering design
  • Develop and maintain documentation that includes but is not limited to system drawings, parts breakdown with price estimates, touch panel layouts, requirements documentation in a repository, circuit actions, comprehensive test plans, and completion schedules
  • Conduct acceptance tests with the Government representative to ensure proper operation of the system/facility in accordance with the approved project schedule
  • Provide technical assistance to the Test Lab in the development and testing of new or modified equipment
  • Ensure asset configuration management processes are followed
  • Support the integration of the DISA-provided collaboration tool, currently Defense Collaboration Services (DCS), into existing AV/VTC systems

Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of related experience.

The minimum of a Secret level DoD Security Clearance is required.

Essential Functions

Physical Requirements

Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk (90%). Requires sitting at a computer terminal for long periods of time (90%). There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work area walking moderate to long distances can sometimes be required.

Work Environment

Inside office/cubicle environment. Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers and all levels of management (100%).

Equipment and Machines

Requires ability to operate a personal computer, a telephone, copier, and other general office equipment (100%). Ability to conduct evaluation of third and fourth generation or current state of the art computer hardware and software and its ability to support specific requirements, interfacing with other equipment and systems.

Attendance

Attendance is critical. Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. Being prompt is important to provide continuous and on-going service to customers. Attendance is important to maintain continuity of service. Work outside of normal duty hours may be required with as little as one hour advance notice. Overtime is infrequent, but important when required (1%). Must be able to support 24-hour Weekend/Holiday On-Call Operations and respond onsite within two (2) hours of notification.

Other Essential Functions

Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be able to obtain unescorted access to work areas. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. The minimum of a Secret level DoD Security Clearance is required.
