An employer is looking to hire a Tier I NOC Technician in Longview, TX to work first shift hours of M-F, 8am to 5pm CST. This person will be responsible for monitoring and supporting the company’s overall network infrastructure and assisting with 3rd party partners to resolve any network issues for customers. The responsibilities are to include customer service, problem solving, troubleshooting, documenting, escalating, and reporting. This NOC professional will troubleshoot and track the status of trouble tickets within the ticketing system to properly document the events as they occur. They will report incidents to management or other internal departments by following the SOP for escalations as required. Responsibilities will also include the following:
– Monitor all of the company’s network services and devices for customers
– Prioritize network issues by severity levels and escalate to Tier II or management as necessary
– Perform various steps to verify levels and coordinate with Field Operations
– Troubleshoot network (Data & Voice) incidents in a timely fashion
– Maintain status updates to internal and external customers until incidents are resolved
– Adhere to SLA and MTTR policy and standards
– Resolve customer incidents via Phone or Email
– Provide accurate documentation for each incident
Must-haves
- Exceptional customer facing skills and passion for Networking field
- Strong analytical thinker with the ability to gather information and prioritize severity levels of issues
- Able to work in a high stress environment as a team player and at times with no supervision
- Networking experience in a NOC or Enterprise support role or education within this field
- Experienced with or knowledgeable of network monitoring tools and of telnet, SSH, RDP, and CLI interfaces
- Experience and/or basic knowledge of Voice and Data within the Telecommunications industry
- Willingness to learn new technologies with minimal management
- Willing to be part of the main support during natural disasters and work on an on-call rotation

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30,000.00 – $36,000.00 per year
