We are currently assisting our client in hiring Tier II NOC Engineers and Technicians.
Job Description: Tier II NOC Technician/Engineer
At Least 2 Years of relevant experience required. This position provides remote network surveillance and advanced trouble shooting for the 5G Network. Tests, Identifies, and repairs semi-complex equipment problems. Performs basic configuration and fault management for a wide array of platforms in the 5G network including but not limited to Strand Radio, Macro, Rooftop, Tower & Small Cell Solutions, Front, Back & Mid-Haul Transport. You will mine various systems for data analysis, conduct conference calls to help identify process issues that lead to network outages, and provide statistics and lessons learned from past outages, to recommend changes to mitigate future risks.
Responsibilities
- Ability to thrive in a High Stress environment while working with 3rd Party Tier I NOC representatives, Field Ops Technicians, Vendors (Fiber, Power, Equipment) and Leadership.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform their duties in a 24x7x365 environment
- Timely, Professional response to emails and phone call/s through routine service impacting events.
- Strong team player who can collaborate in a matrix organization and an open, engaging and inclusive approach to work and communications is essential.
- Conveying a strong sense of urgency, responsiveness, follow-through, and successfully managing outcomes are critical to success in this role.
· Proactively monitor, identify network impairments/outages while documenting and triaging to resolution. (Radio, CORE, RAN, VAS, Data & IP services)
· Responsible for hands on analysis of network performance issues and creating solutions to meet network optimization expectations.
· Detail oriented with experience resolving network outages through the OSI Model.
Qualifications
· Provide incident review and analysis requests to determine root cause analysis.
· Must have in-depth experience with 3G, 4G or 5G Wireless Service, LAN/WAN operations and IP connectivity.
· Demonstrate knowledge of computer systems, emphasis on application use for network monitoring, OSI Layer, general electronic test equipment.
· Present ideas, technical and non-technical, in a logical, compelling manner in a written format and verbally in both small and large group settings.
· Ability to verify Method of Procedure (MOP) documentation for activities to be performed in a production environment.
- Initiate process/procedural improvement to automate the trouble identification, notification, restoration, and documentation processes.
· Advanced level knowledge of cell site topology, Transport and RF KPI’s.
Education
Minimum Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Vocational/Technical Training. Two-year vocational degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Related technical military training or equivalent work experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
