Tower Climber / Technician

CNS, LLC (Communication Network Solutions, LLC) is an established company based in Durham, NC, looking for motivated tower technicians of all skill/experience levels.

Work is spread through North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Virginia, Texas, Florida, and the Georgia markets. Competitive pay based on skill and experience. Hotel room provided and a $40/Day Per Diem, Paid Holidays, and Paid Personal Time available to all employees.

Rotations are flexible and can be worked out in advance. The workload consists primarily of AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile, with many new customers on the horizon.

Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• Ability to climb, maintain an acceptable pace, and work at heights up to 500’ for extended periods.

• Follow all OSHA and CNS, LLC safety standards and guidelines.

• Must be able to stand, stoop, keel, twist, squat, stretch, bend and lift 70 lbs.

• Able to follow directions.

• Safe and proper material handling.

• Must be willing to work overtime, including evening hours if asked.

• Work out of state for up to 6 weeks.

• Required to pass employment verification, criminal background check and drug screening.

• Tower climbing experience required. Certification desired.

• Ability to adhere to industry safety standards.

• Basic first aid/CPR and OSHA 10 desired.

• Prefer experience conducting sweep and fiber testing. Certifications desired.

• Familiar with proper procedures for all types of rigging operations. Certification desired.

• Ability to properly install and support fiber optic and coaxial cable systems and ability to change with the market standards.

• Ability to use critical thinking to install and troubleshoot telecommunications systems.

• Ability to use computers, smart phones, email, Word, Excel, and access info on the internet.

• Ability to document work through photo log, daily reports, and closeout documentation.

• Must have a sense of urgency, strong mindset, and ability to be held accountable.

• Ability to assist in the building of all types of direct, communication sites. (self-support, guyed, monopole, and rooftop).

• Ability to safely operate and inspect power and hand tools that are required.

• Ability to interface professionally and respectfully with coworkers and customers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 – $28.00 per hour
