Dyros Inc. is hiring full-time permanent Tower Technician Foreman to install, upgrade, and maintain wireless communication structures and equipment for the IL and WI markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all crew members and provide leadership to the crew from the beginning of a project through completion, ensuring safety and quality standards, budget, and timelines are adhered to
  • Advanced knowledge, management, training, and guidance of the team of the optimization, construction and maintenance of telecommunication networks
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, datasheets, and plumbing diagrams and effectively communicate required daily duties with crew members
  • Perform preconstruction climb to implement effective installation practices
  • Perform fiber optic, sweep, and PIM testing
  • Recording activities using software tools for daily reports, closeout packages, etc
  • Provide accurate and real time reporting from the field
  • Verify quality workmanship per clients requirements prior to site completion

Duties:

  • Safely and efficiently work in an aerial environment
  • Perform tower inspections, inventories, and audits
  • Install and maintain telecommunication equipment on towers
  • Construct new communication towers
  • Perform testing on fiber optic and RF cable systems
  • Maintain tool inventory and upkeep daily on job site

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working at elevation. · At least 7 years of industry experience preferred. · Demonstrated expertise in construction skills, rigging, safety and general industry knowledge.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Extensive experience with antenna, fiber optic cabling, coax, and radio & microwave installations.
  • Experience with RF and fiber optic test equipment
  • Climbing/rescue training and first aid, CPR, and OSHA 30 training is preferred.
  • TTT 1 Certification preferred.
  • Organizational, computer and communication skills.
  • Must be able to read and interpret site plans, construction drawings and scopes of work.
  • Recognize and provide a safe work site with acceptable quality and efficiency.
  • Present professional image at all times.

Tower technicians will be required to work on all different types of wireless communication structures; including, but not limited to, monopoles, self-support towers, guyed towers, and rooftops. All positions require minimal overnight travel and offer competitive wages based on skills and experience.

Successful candidates will be required to submit to criminal background and drug screening tests, including random drug testing.
