Tower Technician (Three Forks, MT)

Key Responsibilities:

• Must value safety over and above all other considerations
• Enjoys performing work on the tower while ensuring that a safe, quality installation is performed, including rigging, hoisting, landing, fastening, load hopping, etc.
• Install equipment including masts, clamping, bracing, supports, antennas, RRUs, cabling, bolting, assist in shooting proper azimuth within tolerances, labeling, picture-taking, documentation
• Assist in gathering all closeout documents (an absolute must)
• At the instruction of Tower Crew Leader, perform coax, fiber, lines, and hybrid cable installations, connector installation, sweep and testing assisting, weather proofing, color-coding, labeling, etc. connect coax feed lines and jumpers per piping diagrams, and support and fasten adequately for a quality, lasting installation
• Complete grounding, terminations, fastening, proper bolting and antioxidant use, support of leads, cad-welding as required, etc.
• Assist in the assembly of monopoles, self-support guyed towers, and rooftop installations
• Assist in transmission line installation
• Assist with maintenance of vehicles and equipment, tool inventory, etc.

Qualifications:

• Possess the desire to read and understand construction drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting specs, testing procedures, etc.
• Confidence to work independently under limited supervision
• Longs to provide communication and customer service that is white-glove
• Craves perfection in the details
• Aspires to be a Self-starter, team player, and results oriented

• Currently holds OSHA 10hr or OSHA 30hr certifications is a plus

Physical Demands:

• Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record
• Take pride in being in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs.; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes
• Willing to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
• Find enjoyment in working outdoors in all types of weather
• A passion to climb and perform work at various heights, up to 500 feet, for long periods of time

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
