Job Summary:

As a Field Tech your duties would include:

• Field surveys to determine service availability and rooftop installations, including all required cabling.
• Installation and configuration of wireless equipment such as radios, antennas, routers, etc., at the client’s service location.
• Servicing existing equipment, including troubleshooting equipment failure and either fix or replace equipment.
• Assist at tower locations by working ground rigging, cabinet work, etc.
• Assist with the distribution of marketing material.
• Assist with tower repairs
• Must be willing to be tower trained and certified (will only climb privately owned towers up to 50ft.)
• Drive and maintain company issued vehicle.

Essential Job Functions: * Assemble and install reflector dishes, j arms, non-penetrating roof mounts, wall mounts, etc.

• Aim reflector dish to local towers.
• Installation of Cat5 and Cat6 cabling from rooftop devices through the home or business to customers router and terminate.
• Communicate and educate customers on the installation process and procedures.
• Use communication skills with clients and internal employees while completing service activation of Internet access.
• Respond to trouble calls and perform high-level troubleshooting for RF, IP and physical hardware/cabling issues in order to resolve service issues.
• Complete timely post installation documentation, perform inspections, and recommend corrective action in a written, well-documented manner.
• Professional and courteous behavior at all times.

‪*Requirements*Must have experience! Either in a WISP, Cellular, or Satellite type environment!

• Ability to take direction and learn from experience
• Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized
• Must be able to effectively execute duties with minimum direction or supervision while working well with others
• ‪Ability to perform the duties of a Field Tech with ease
• ‪Have knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools
• Knowledge and experience with construction techniques, networks and telecommunication issues (both hardware and software)
• Proficient in the operation of cellphone, PC and related applications such as email clients, and web browsers
• Ability to safely climb and descend portable ladders, towers, rooftops or other structures
• Ability to lift and carry loads up to 70 pounds.
• Must pass drug screening and background check.
• Clean driving record.

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
