An exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Help Desk, Level 1 Coordinator is available for our very sought after client based in London. Must have the ability to travel within 2 locations – London and Kent and be able to direct and coordinate local area computer network activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. The role will include the following activities:

  • Installs, and maintains local area network hardware, software, and telecommunications services such as personal computers, system software, software applications, scanners and printers.
  • Provides training for and enforces IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Trains users on software and equipment usage.
  • Supports the office telecommunications system including new user set up and training
  • Responds to the needs and questions of network users; provides Level 1 network support.
  • Creates support tickets – IT ticket system – “Trackit” – for support requests.
  • Supports mobile phone devices.
  • Collects physical inventory of all computer equipment and logs in to tracking system
  • Escalates IT issues to IT Help Desk Level 2 and Senior Manager of Technology as appropriate.
  • Assists with special projects, as relates to system software, including software testing and report reconciliations.
  • Maintains printer and print supply inventory.
  • Assists Senior Manager of Technology with special projects.
  • Assists users with electronic needs for meetings (projector, video conference,etc.).
  • Projects and other duties as deemed necessary by Senior Manager of Technology.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor Degree in Telecommunications/Computer Science or at least 3 years experience in the IT industry. Ability to learn new applications and technologies and have a positive attitude towards work. Must also be proficient in MS Office Applications. Exposure to database software and Citrix a plus.
